Procurement of materials for pressure vessel fabrication and shop operations.
Design checker must have ASME experience in pressure vessel design. Must be extremely detail oriented and accuracy is a must. The primary role of a Design checker is to check and insure accuracy of the fabrication drawings for primarily pressure vessels but to include minor structural steel, piping and P&ID’s. Review project specifications to assure compliance as well as ASME code requirements. The checker is responsible for the issuance of project drawings to the customer for approval and to the shop for fabrication and to maintain organization of the drawings in Vault.
The prime role of the applications engineer is to design products that meet customer specifications and to prepare project quotes. The applications engineer is also responsible for assisting contracted company representatives with customer acquisition and maintenance efforts including but not limited to performing product presentations, site visits, and attending industry conferences. Must also develop a rapport with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Required to grow and retain existing accounts by using knowledge of engineering to present new solutions and services to clients. Must have a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors. The Applications Engineer will also assist the design department with compiling materials, instrumentation, controls, labor, and fabrication information in preparation of the development of all design materials and equipment in accordance with ASME codes, making changes as needed and communicating with customers to ensure the design is to their satisfaction.
The primary role of a Designer is to create fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, structural steel, piping and P&ID’s using the Inventor and AutoCAD software. Serve as a mentor for drafters and be responsible for the checking and accuracy of drawings produced for approval to the customer and the fabrication shop.
Drives company vehicles, pulls flat-bed trailers, to deliver and retrieve company supplies and equipment. Responsible for the day to day tasks with ensuring manufacturing parts and equipment are shipped appropriately. This position ensures the paperwork is timely, accurate and complete before the material is shipped. Manages shipping cost to customer and company. Works closely with QC, Accounting and Purchasing. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
