Third Phase of Facility Expansion Underway
Even before completion of the second phase of our ongoing expansion, contractors have begun work on the next portion. Phase three includes a new 5,000 square foot structure housing product research and development, plus additional storage space. Existing offices for manufacturing management, quality control, and shipping/receiving, are also being completely rebuilt.
The first stage of Mueller’s major expansion included over 19,000 feet of additional manufacturing space along with 9,000 feet of offices. The second phase, now well on its way to completion adds a further 10,000 square feet designated for hydro testing and heat treating operations. Additional overhead crane and heavy metal fabrication equipment has also been a part of both phases. When all current work is completed this summer, we will have tripled the size of our facilities.
All of this is designed to ensure that Mueller can not only meet our clients’ growing demand for our current equipment, but that we will continue to bring innovative new products to the natural gas processing industry.
